We'll be on stand 589 at the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the Harrogate International Centre from Friday to Sunday this week.

With over 250 exhibitors, free in depth seminars, free masterclasses and opportunities to ask the experts, this is the only dedicated  self-build & renovation event in the North of England. 

We'd love to see you there to discuss your building project.  Feel free to bring along a copy of your plans to discuss with us, and to leave a set on the stand for us to provide you with a quote.

Awards!

Voting for the Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards closes at noon on Monday 31st October, so there's still time to vote for your favourite house at http://www.homebuilding.co.uk/awards/finalists.

The Goldwyre house is one of four finalists in the readers choice awards.  SIPs Industries provided the SIPs kit for this house back in 2009.

Modular Buildings

This building was constructed in modules, each of which was assembled in a factory setting before being transported to site.  Each module was then craned into place to create a two storey building.

SIPs Industries Australia are back from the Inaugural Grand Design Live Exhibition at Sydney.

The turnout was very high, with a lot of interest in Kevin McLeod and a number of Australian presenters on the Lifestyle Channel that airs all the programs such as Grand Designs , Location Location, etc.

The SIPs stand was in the Grand Building section on the grand walkway one block back from the Grand Theatre and saw a pretty much constant stream of enquiries.  The first day was a bit of a challenge at 11 hours long!  Congratulations to the new team members who were thrown in at the deep end with a show only a few weeks after starting the job.

All in all the show was successful and worthwhile, with a number of good leads.  Thank you to all those who took the time to visit the stand.

Grand Designs Live

Grand Designs Live Australia opens tomorrow at 10am at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and runs until Sunday 23rd.  Based on the TV programme, the show has been running in the UK for several years but this is the first time it has come to Australia.

SIPs Industries Australia will be there on Stand M35, so if you're coming to visit the show please feel free to drop in and see us to discuss your project.

Congratulations!

We've just heard that one of our completed projects is up for a national award!  Gerry and Susan Goldwyre's RP9 has been shortlisted in the self build category of the Daily Telegraphs Homebuilding and Renovating Awards.

 

The finalist in this category is decided by a public vote, and will go on to be judged against the winners of the other categories.  You can vote for your favourite self build here: http://www.homebuilding.co.uk/awards

SIPs Industries UK will be at the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show at Harrogate International Centre from 4-6 November, and the Somerset Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the Bath and West Showground on 19th and 20th November.

Barn Conversion

These photographs show the Barn Conversion in this post during construction.  The SIPs panels fit inside the existing walls to provide a highly insulated, air tight envelope while conserving the traditional external walls.

Barn Conversion

This SIPs Industries barn conversion is featured in a seven page article and photoshoot in the Autumn/Winter edition of New Home Locations Scotland.

We supplied the panels for this build back in 2008.  The SIPs panels fit inside the original walls to provide a full thermal envelope, including the roof.

A new build in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis has three times the floor space of the bungalow it replaces, but it three to four times more energy efficient.  The house is constructed from Structural Insulated Panels, and packed with sustainable features including solar panels, geothermal heating and rainwater collection systems
