Curved Walls

The curved wall for this block of flats in West Sussex was achieved by using short widths of panel, rather than a single panel.

As can be seen, the non-structural internal walls were made from timber stud rather than SIPs.

The apartments won the Building for Life Silver Standard Award in 2008.  There are images of the completed project on the architects website.

Building Regulations

Following a survey held in July 2010, the Department for Communities and Local Government’s has published a work programme which details potential changes to the Building Regulations, with the aim of improving the system of building regulations in England.
